Hydrocarbon Solvents

Hydrocarbon solvents include aliphatic hydrocarbons, Special Boiling Point solvents (SBP's), White Spirits and a full range of aromatic hydrocarbons.

Major outlets include the surface coatings, fuel additives, adhesive industries, pharmaceutical, printing ink, agrochemical and metal working industries.

Aromatics

The aromatic solvents available from us include pure aromatics i.e. Toluene and Xylene (isomer mix) as well as a mixture of other aromatic solvents i.e. C9, C10 and C11 grades or we would say they constitute a range of high boiling, highly aromatic solvents.

Aromatic solvents are widely used in paints, adhesives and printing inks. Other applications include extraction, degreasing, as components in agrochemicals.

These following products fall into this group:

  • Heavy Aromatic Residue
  • Toluene
  • Xylene
  • Xylol
  • Solvent A100 (C9-Aromatics)
  • Solvent A150 (C10-Aromatics)
  • Solvent A200 (C11+- Aromatics)

Special Boiling Point Solvents (SBPs)

SBPs are a group of aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents with narrow boiling ranges. These products group are derived from naphtha feed-stocks.

The products are widely used in adhesives, rubber, cleaning purposed, pharmaceuticals and surface coating industries, also for edible oil extraction.

These following products fall into this group:

  • Iso-Hexane
  • Hexane
  • Rubber Solvent / Solvent 1245
  • SBP 80/100

De-aromatized

De-aromatized or Naphthenic products are obtained by deep hydrogenation of feed-stocks, then, low aromatics content is obtained.
Application areas for de-aromatized products are in low odor paints, wood treatment products, printing inks, adhesives, metal cleaning and degreasing, dry cleaning, aerosol formulations, household specialty products, metal rolling oils and drilling solvents.

These following products fall into this group:

  • YK-D40
  • YK-D80 / 80N
  • YK-D100
  • YK-D130

Naphthenes

Naphthenes or Cycloalkanes are types of alkanes which have one or more rings of carbon atoms in the chemical structure of their molecules. Cycloalkanes consist of only carbon (C) and hydrogen (H) atoms and are saturated because there are no multiple C-C bonds hydrogenate (add more hydrogen to).

These following products fall into this group:

  • Cyclohexane
  • Ethyl Cyclohexane (ECH)
  • Methyl Cyclohexane (MCH)

White Spirit Solvents

White spirit products are straight cut aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents. They are derived from kerosene feed-stocks. The primary application is in surface coatings as diluent for alkyd resins and as a general solvent in painting, vanishes and wood preservatives.

These following products fall into this group:

  • Bitsol 30
  • Bitsol 40
  • Bitsol 60
  • Bitsol 80
  • Disol 65
  • Solvent SS
  • Solvent T80
  • TOP Sol 2046 (High Flash White Spirit)
  • White Spirit 3040
  • WS-3
  • WS103

Aliphatics Hydrocarbons

Naphthenes or Cycloalkanes are types of alkanes which have one or more rings of carbon atoms in the chemical structure of their molecules. Cycloalkanes consist of only carbon (C) and hydrogen (H) atoms and are saturated because there are no multiple C-C bonds hydrogenate (add more hydrogen to).

These following products fall into this group:

  • Cyclohexane
  • Methyl Cyclohexane (MCH)

Iso-Paraffins

Iso-Paraffins are synthesized by alkylation process. So, they are virtually odorless making them particularly suitable for use in household sprays, odor-free paints, printing inks, dry cleaning, fragrant polishes and hand cleaners. Iso-Paraffins also can be applied as carrier for catalysts in polymerization processes.

These following products fall into this group:

  • SK ISOL E
  • SK ISOL H
  • SK ISOL L
  • IP Clean LX
  • IP Clean HX
  • IP Solvent 2028
  • IP Solvent 2835

Normal-Paraffins

Normal-Paraffin products are manufactured from natural gas, so, these products are extremely pure and free from heavy metals, sulphur, nitrogen and aromatics. These products also consider as environmentally friendly.

These following products fall into this group:

  • C7-C8 n-paraffins
  • C9-C11 n-paraffins
  • C10-C13 n-paraffins
  • C14-C17 n-paraffins
